1. ACCESSORIES 

The first time I wore my beautiful TRIWA sunglasses* was on my holiday in Split. They simply complemented my looks perfectly and I above all are really amazing quality. I'm still wearing them almost everyday especially since Berlin has gotten so sunny lately. My TRIWA babes are called  Leopard Thelma and are available here! They are made of hand cut acetate and stainless steel. Scandinavians really do it best. 2. SUMMER OUTFIT

For me Summer in the city always calls for stripes. I've probably told you that a hundred of times. I love pairing a striped top with skinny jeans, mostly high-waisted. But since it's getting super hot in Berlin, I thought I should try out something a little bit more different. So I paired my striped cropped top with the gorgeous high-waisted skirt*  below. The skirt is from Edited.de - get yours here. I added a little twist to the outfit by styling my new leopard print Palmaira* sandals with it. Stripes and leopard print make a good match, don't you think? I can't wait to shoot this look when Carolin is back from her London venture. Stay tuned!

3. CAFES

People who know me, know that I live for a great cup of coffee. I will always choose coffee before tea. May it be a double espresso in the morning just to get me started or a latte during the day with a good friend, coffee is always a good idea! So the spot I'm recommending today is obviously a cafe, suer cute and located in Wedding. I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 10 years now and can tell you, it's becoming the new Kreuzberg or Prenlz Berg. So many Cafes are opening and the vibe is definitely changing into a Szenekiez vibe. This place for example is called Kleine Mensa and is located in a pretty side street near the tube station Amrumerstr. Make sue to give it a try, should you be in the neighborhood. Not only do the serve amazing coffee, but delicious cakes too! YAY

4. TRAVEL COMPANION

You've probably already noticed that I have been using this baby a lot during the past months. I'm obviously talking about the super cool OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL7.  It also accompanied me to my trip through Croatia last month and I can't stop telling you how much I love this little baby. It's really amazing what it can accomplish. You've already seen some images taken with it in my Prague Travel Diary here. When I got back form my Croatia holiday, Berlin Fashion Week was just around the corner. During this turbulent week I had the opportunity to collaborate with Olympus PEN Generation again and this time I got to try out different lenses. Check out the latest images I took with it here!

5. SNEAKERS

Finally you guys. I've joined the Superga* Club! I got my navy ones at Zalando. They are super cool with laid back outfits, yet go with dresses and skirts as well. I simply love them and have been wearing them on the cooler days here in Berlin. I always wanted to buy me a pair, but for some reason some other item kept ending up in my basket. So it really was about time, when I got to work with Zalando again. I can't wait to shoot an outfit with it and share it with you guys. Carolin come back! But for now, these are my June Favorites. Split Sights: Marjan Park

Split really has a lot to offer when it comes to sightseeing. Marjan Forest Park is just one of the gems this beautiful city has to offer. I climbed up to Marjan on a hot day during my trip, which really wasn't the best idea. Still once getting up there, the whole climbing was more than worth it.

Once you reach the top you will enjoy a beautiful view of the old town of Split and the harbor. Simply stunning! While climbing you will also stumble over cute cafes and restaurants which invite you to take a break and have drink, or two. The higher you will get, the more beautiful and breathtaking the view will be. I loved walking around this beautiful park. Make sure to see this sight if you happen to be in Split someday. DE: Split hat wirklich einiges zu bieten, wenn es um tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten geht. Der Marian Forest Park ist einer dieser tollen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die man einfach besichtigen muss, wenn man in Split ist. Mehrere schöne Wege führen den Marjan hoch. Man steigt von der Stadt aus zunächst knapp 200 Stufen auf ein Plateau. Der Weg hat mehrere Zwischenebenen, auf denen man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Altstadt Split und den Hafen hat. Steigt man weiter, wird der Blick nur noch atemberaubender. Ich kann einen Spaziergang auf dem Marian nur empfehlen sollte es euch mal nach Split verschlagen. Split Food: Konoba Matejuška

Ever since I had my first Risotto, cooked by my best friend’s Mum on a hot summer day in the south of France, I have been obsessed with this dish. Whether it’s Asparagus Risotto, Risotto with spinach or mushrooms, I will always have a risotto if I can. However, never have I ever had black risotto in my entire life. I didn’t even know things like this existed. 

Konoba Matejuška is actually famous for their black risotto. It’s served with squid, fresh tomatoes and a slice of lemon to finish it off perfectly. After walking around town all day, doing enough sightseeing for 4 countries, I made my way to Konoba Matejuška. I got a little lost on my way to find this place because it’s more or less hidden in a cute side street minutes from the Marjan Park. Once there I instantly felt calm. The whole atmosphere of this little place was just so calming and relaxing even before I had sat down. I was welcomed by a handsome waiter who greeted me kindly. I immediately asked for the black risotto, that’s what I was here for after all. He smiled and a short while later I was served the biggest portion of risotto I have ever had. And it was black, surprise. Needless to say that it was just as delicious as I thought it would be. I had to have a glass of red with this dish of course. Split locals really know how to enjoy life. The always take their time even when just having coffee. I did so too and probably spent more than 3 hours at Konoba Matejuška, eating, drinking and enjoying the company of some other tourists. Unfortunately the plate was too much for me to finish. Still, this place is definitely worth a visit. 

DE: Als ich Risotto das erste Mal aß, zubereitet von der Mutter meiner besten Freundin in der Abendsonne der französischen Riviera, verliebte ich mich in dieses Gericht. Ist das überhaupt möglich? Wie auch immer, seither kann ich von Risotto nicht genug bekommen.  Ob nun Spargelrisotto, Risotto mit Pilzen oder aber Spinat, für mich gibt es kein besseres Lunchgericht. Jedoch habe ich noch niemals von schwarzem Risotto gehört geschweige denn es probiert. Ich wusste nicht einmal, dass so etwas existiert. Was ich auch nicht wusste, bevor ich Konoba Matejuška aufsuchte war, dass dieses Restaurant bekannt ist für ihr spektakuläres schwarzes Risotto. Es wird mit Octopus und frischen Tomaten serviert. Etwas Zitronensaft rundet das deliziöse Gericht ab. Ich belohnte mich mit dem Octopus Risotto nach einem langen Spaziergang im Marjan Park. Es war gar nicht so leicht dieses verhältnismäßig kleine Restaurant zu finden. Es befindet sich nämlich in einer Seitenstraße, zwischen vielen schönen Häusern die für einen Besucher, wie mich wahrscheinlich alle gleich aussehen. Als ich es jedoch fand, wurde ich von einem sehr netten Kellner begrüßt. Neben einem Glas Wein bestellte ich natürlich das schwarze Risotto. Der Kellner lachte und nach nicht allzu langer Wartezeit bekam ich die wohl größte Portion Risotto meines Lebens. Es war wirklich eines der besten Gerichte, die ich in meinem Urlaub in Kroatien hatte. Dazu kam natürlich auch die wundervolle Atmosphäre die regelrecht dazu einlud sich seinem Essen (und dem ein oder anderen Glas Wein) mehrstündig zu widmen. So saß ich gefühlt 3 Stunden im Konoba Matejuška und genoss neben dem tollen Essen vor allem die Ruhe. Leider habe ich die große Portion nicht aufessen können. Dennoch ist dieses Restaurant definitiv einen Besuch wert, wenn es euch mal nach Split verschlägt!

COVER PR SUNDOWNER AND POOLPARTY

Another great event during this season of Berlin Fashion Week was the Sundowner and Poolparty hosted by the lovely Cover PR girls. Thanks again for the invite girls I had a blast! Despite the quite high temperatures a few days ago, it was nice to just chill out for a change.
Fashion Week is fun but can also be super stressful. I always plan to attend way too many shows and events ending up super exhausted. So this season I decided to focus on the most important and fun activities though. The poolparty was definitely one of them. I saw a few familiar faces, we hung out and simply enjoyed sipping on drinks in the sun. I got to see Ricarda and Fiona  again. Fun times! Oh and the food... oh my days, so delicious. Thanks for the delightful event Cover PR. 

DE: Ein weiteres tolles Event das diese Woche im Rahmen der Berlin Fashion Week stattfand, war die Cover PR Sundowner und Poloparty. Danke Mädels für die Einladung, ich hatte eine grandiose Zeit. Auch wenn es auch an diesem Tag superheiß war, war es schön mal wieder runterzukommen vom ganzen Fashion Trubel und einfach mal bei Drinks und gutem Essen zu entspannen. Ich traf einige bekannte Gesichter wieder, darunter auch Ricarda und Fiona. FUN! Fashion Week kann oftmals sehr stressig sein, daher tut es mal gut, auf Events wie dieses zu gehen. Dort hat man Zeit sich mit Leuten zu unterhalten, ohne ständig daran zu denken wo man als nächstes hinrennen muss. Ich hatte sehr viel Spaß und habe mich gefreut, eingeladen worden zu sein. Peony Love

Peonies are my absolute favorite flowers! I would decorate my whole room with them if I could. I love buying a bouquet Sundays after having a coffee and some pastry. Ever since I moved to London and spent hours at Columbia Road Flower Market each Sunday, I have been crazy about these flowers.
However, there's no Columbia Road Flower Market in Berlin. Nevertheless I still know where to get my peony fix and other flowers and plants for that matter. I mostly buy my own flowers offline. At times I do order a little bouquet online as a gift. Since I'm stuck to the computer all day anyway, online flower shopping seems to be the best option for a last minute gift or small present for loved ones, or even myself. When it comes to decorating them, I must say I love minimal and classic things. I love cool, sometimes graphic vases for flowers or plants. I have been dreaming of having a balcony full of flowers and plants one day. I only need an apartment for that now haha In the meantime, I like to browse online for little gems I would love put in my new apartment.  On my hunt for some flowers and plants I found some great decor at Lidl.de. I found a few things I really like that would fit perfectly on a small balcony. Are you into plants and flowers? How do you like placing and decorating them? Happy Humpday!

DE: Pfingstrosen sind meine absoluten Lieblingsblumen! Am liebsten würde ich mein ganzes Zimmer damit dekorieren. Am liebsten kaufe ich meine Blumen sonntags vor dem obligatorischen Kaffee und Kuchen. Seitdem ich in London lebte und den legendären Columbia Road Flower Market aufsuchte, bin ich süchtig nach diesen Blumen. Leider gibt es den berühmten Markt in Berlin nicht. Dennoch lasse ich es mir nicht nehmen ab und an einen Strauß meiner Lieblingsblumen zu kaufen. Meine Blumen hole ich meistens offline, das heißt im Blumengeschäft. Muss jedoch ein Geschenk und Blumenstrauß her, greife ich gerne auch auf online Blumenläden zurück. Dort kann man neben Blumen, oftmals auch gleich die dazugehörige Deko kaufen. Zurzeit träume ich ja vom eigenen Apartment. Ich habe schon genaue Vorstellungen, wie dieses einmal aussehen wird und zu meinen liebsten Orten im Apartment gehört der Balkon. Deshalb mache ich mir immer gerne ma Gedanken wie ich meinen zukünftigen Balkon ausstatten werde. Ich habe auch schone einiges im Voraus gekaut. Zum Beispiel gibt es auf Lidl.de tolle Blumentöpfe und schöne Pflanzendeko. Ich mag es ja sehr minimalistisch und oft auch grafisch. Neben coolen Vasen möchte ich mir für meinen Balkon auch ein schönes Regal kaufen und dort kleine Blumentöpfe platzieren. Auf meiner Suche nach einem kleinen Regal, dass ich jetzt schon verwenden kann, bin ich auf dieses hier gestoßen. Süß oder? Da könnte man auch superschön eine Pfingstrose in weiter Vase aufstellen. Jetzt brauche ich nur noch den richtigen Balkon dazu! Drückt mir die Daumen, dass es endlich mit einem Apartment klappt!

OLYMPUS PEN Fashion Photo Gallery

I kicked off Fashion Week in Berlin with an evening with Olympus Pen at their Fashion Photo Gallery. We celebrated the grand kick-off event in Mitte. Unseen images of some international bloggers shot with the Olympus Pen where showcased.
We enjoyed some good tunes, snacks and nibbles while admiring what this camera can achieve. The Gallery will be open all through out Berlin Fashion Week (7th-9th July) offering cool workshops on topics like, gifs, OOTD, video editing and photoshoots. It will also provide workplaces as well as WIFI, a shuttle service from and to the Fashion Shows, refreshing snacks and drinks, and a rental corner. So make sure to pop by! I'll be using my Olympus for the next couple of days and can't wait to share my photos with you.

DE:Die Fashion in Berlin ist in vollem Gange. Für mich begann diese Saison mit einem sehr coolen Event. Olympus Pen und Cover PR luden gestern nämlich zu einem Kick-Off Event in Mitte in. Es drehte sich alles rund um das Thema Fotografie. Einige ausgewählte Blogger zeigten einige ihrer Werke, alle aufgenommen mit einer Olympus Kamera. Bei toller Musik und gutem Essen genoss ich einen schönen Abend in der Galerie. Ich habe die Olympus Pen Lite E-PL7 ja selbst schon oft benutzt und weiß, was diese kleine Kamera drauf hat. Dennoch war ich erneut begeistert von den Bildern wie zum Beispiel von Kayla oder Masha. 

Die ganze Fashion Week über, wird die Galerie geöffnet sein. Coolen Workshop zu Themen wie OOTD, gifs, Videobearbeitung und Photoshoots werden dort angeboten. Außerdem wird es neben WLan und coolen Arbeitsplätzen einen Shuttle Service geben, der zu den verschiedensten Shows fahren wird. Also schaut auf jeden Fall vorbei! Ich habe mir wieder einmal eine Olympus Kamera ausgeliehen, dieses Mal jedoch mit dem 45mm Objektiv. Damit werde ich die nächsten zwei Tage für euch festhalten. Seid gespannt!
